Toyota MR2 Spyder was the name gave to the third-generation Toyota MR2. However, while the MR2 itself was a two-door, two-seater sports car that released in 1985 with rear-wheel drive (RWD), MR2 Spyder was a two-door convertible that was available from 2000 to 2005. It came in a single trim, incorporated an aluminum-alloy inline-four engine, and had a choice of either a five-speed manual or a five- or six-speed SMT transmission, depending on model year. You could even get a Torsen helical limited-slip differential later in the car's tenure.
